Runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded.
01How to use the Duplicate Line Remover
- 01Paste your list, one item per line.
- 02Choose whether matching is case sensitive and whether to trim spaces or drop blank lines.
- 03Copy or download the cleaned list.
02How duplicates are found
Lines are read top to bottom. The first time a line appears it is kept; later copies are removed. Case sensitive off: “Apple” and “apple” are duplicates Trim whitespace on: “ cherry” and “cherry” are duplicates Sort A–Z on: the kept lines are sorted afterwards
03Examples
A mailing list of 1,200 addresses with repeats can be reduced to unique entries in one paste.
With case sensitivity off, “Banana” and “banana” keep only the first.
Turn on Sort A–Z to get a unique, alphabetised list.
04Frequently asked questions
Which copy is kept?
The first one. Later duplicates are removed, so the original order of first appearances is preserved unless you sort.
Can I find duplicates without removing them?
The Removed count shows how many duplicates there were. Listing them separately is not supported yet.
Is there a size limit?
Lists of hundreds of thousands of lines work on most computers. Everything runs locally in your browser.
